My roommate and I just had a strange experience.

We moved into our current apartment approximately 4 years ago. Since moving in we have had several experiences with shadows, strange noises and smells and all around creepy feelings. Well tonight one of our cats went nuts. She ran into the small bedroom where we keep all of their foods and such and started howling at the lamp that has been standing in the corner of that room for the past 6 months.

We have two cats. Lola, the howling one, and Brutus. Brutus will not go into that room unless someone is with him. It don't matter how hungry he gets he simply will not go in there.

Anyway, I called to my roommate to bring the digital camera and start snapping pics. She did so and the battery immediately drained. She got one pic but nothing showed up. She went and got a second digital camera with 225 minutes on the battery, snapped a pic and that battery drained right down to nothing. I suggested the digital recorder and we tried some amature EVP work but didn't catch anything. OR if we did there was too much background noise to hear any.

A little background on this particular room. My daughter used to sleep in this room before she moved out. She swore up and down that there were ghosts in there that would keep her awake all night. On occasions where she did manage to sleep she would wake up with bruises that she could not explain. At one point she even said that there was a demon that tried to enter.

My roommate does not seem to be able to sense these presences. She always explaines away every occurance. My daughter has always been sensitive to them. She has been seeing spirits for as long as I can remember her being able to talk. I am able to sense spirits. The house I grew up in was haunted with a 'shadow person'. It scared the beejebus out of one of our babysitters when I was about 8 or 9. LOL

Anyway, that is the story for tonight. If we do manage to catch anything on film or recorder we will share.

Happy Hunting!

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of
intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

Well, this weekend didn't start out well for me. My daughter wanted to visit for the weekend and we thought it would be a good idea to have her bring her cat since her cat and our cat pretty much grew up together.

Bad idea.

As soon as K let the cat out of the carrier the hissing and growling started. Runt (K's cat) and Brutus (our cat) pretty much did this for 3 hours straight. Circling around eachother and the apartment. We seperated them into different rooms at one point but the pathetic howling from both animals prompted us to let them out. They behaved themselves for about 10 minutes then went at eachother. All claws and teeth!

We seperated Brutus from the fray and put him in our bedroom. Then had to chase Runt down. I found him cowering in a corner behind one of our bookcases. (you all can see where this is going?)

Yeah, I did. I reached for him. Teeth went into the hand below the thumb and all four paws were shreding my forearm.

By the time I was able to drop him I looked like my arm went through a meat shredder.

The Doc's at the Emergency Room were surprised a cat did the damage. They thought it was a dog of some sort. One good thing for me is that both cats are up to date on all their shots.

Runt and I made up before K left yesterday. I don't blame him for what happened. I blame myself. I guess when you have two tom's you cannot expect them to be uber friendly after almost a year apart. We will not try this little trick again.
